2020 Officer Training Workshop

This year, we decided to combine the Summer Leadership Workshop (training for local chapter officers) and the Officer Training Workshop (region and state officers) to hold one training for both groups. However, that workshop was postponed to the Fall due to COVID-19 restrictions. After much thought about all the uncertainties of the new school year, we decided that having it before school starts is probably a better idea. We have made arrangements to offer a virtual Officer Training Workshop for all local, region and state officers to be held on July 24-25, 2020. We understand that you did not plan on this, so funds are not available. No worries. We are offering it free! The virtual trainings will be done by Kent Julian. He is very high energy and he does training for a lot of the CTSO officers across the country. There will be 3 – 3 hour sessions. We are still working on the content. I will send out a description of each session when it is finalized. Below is what we have so far.

Friday morning, July 24th, 9:00 a.m. – Noon:
 - True Heroes Champion Heroic Causes
 - Every Hero Has Superpowers (Part 1 Discovery)
Friday afternoon, July 24th, 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.:
 - Every Hero Has Superpowers (Part 2 Skill Development)
 - The Heroic Power of the Team (Program of Work)
Saturday morning, July 25th, 9:00 a.m. – Noon:
 - The Heroic Power of the Team (Program of Work) Continued
 - True Heroes are Everyday Heroes (Leadership development)

The training is for the local chapter student officers, region student officers, and state student officers. Teacher Leaders are asked to attend so that you know what they are being taught, and when they breakout into sessions, you are there to guide their work. All teachers who attend the workshop will be given a pre-recorded bonus career session titled Your Best Future: How to Get Hired for Your Dream Job (Even if Your Resume’ Stinks).

There is a short registration form that needs to be completed for each person attending.  If you have any questions, please email me [email protected]. We are still working from home, so phone calls will not be answered.

As we are going through times of the Corona Virus across the United States of America, we need every possible known toolkit to help our Students with Virtual /online continuing education. There is an online tutorial at March2Success.com, and the program is free of charge.
